???????????????????????????????On Tuesday 28 February, three Year 9 students travelled to County Hall, Preston to debate some of the key issues around the teaching of Religious Education (RE).

The debate, led by the students of Broughton High School, involved eight Lancashire High Schools.   After researching and preparing speeches, Hollie Hartley, Elise Ridge and Joe Dickinson took an active part in debating the importance of RE in the modern curriculum.  Within a strict 60 second time limit they each confidently presented their ideas before taking part in an open debate, responding to the ideas presented by others.  The students were highly commended by staff from the other schools and SACRE members who attended the debate and were a credit to Unity College.
