Welcome to our students area

Students have access to a number of resources during their time at Unity College.

The VLE or Virtual Learning Environment contains information for students such as:

  • Student News
  • Subject areas – where students can access resources and upload assignments.
  • Student advice and guidance eg. health information
  • Extra curricular activities
  • Student council
  • Student voice

It is possible to have a parent login for the VLE.  This allows you to see the activity reports for your child, any assignments they have done on the VLE and which courses they are enrolled on. We always suggest that your child shares their VLE password with you anyway as, when logged in as the student, all homework which has been set for your child will be listed in their VLE calendar.

SAM Learning Go – Online revision and exam practice

All students will have been given their SAM Learning login details.  SAM Learning has been proven to raise student’s attainment by 2 grades with just 10 hours of study on the SAM Learning system.  This is a vital system for students revising for exams, but sometimes your child may also be set homework on SAM Learning.

MyMaths– Ready made lessons and online homework tasks

In Maths, students are given access to MyMaths, an online maths learning resource which provides a wide coverage of maths topics and auto-marked homework and booster packs. Mymaths helps students consolidate and practice their mathematic skills, raises achievement levels and ensures students do their best at GCSE.
