Remembrance Day at Unity College 2020

Remembrance Day (sometimes known informally as Poppy Day owing to the tradition of the remembrance poppy) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

On Wednesday 11 November 2020, Unity College will be offering students and staff stick on poppies for a donation to the Royal British Legion when they arrive at college.  We will also be observing a 2-minute silence at 11.00am on Wednesday 11 November.  The silence is a time for students and staff to remember those who lost their lives fighting for their country.
