Unity College’s Year 9 students were recently treated to a performance by Burnley Youth Theatre. Four young actors, including two of the College’s own students performed the exceptionally important and powerful Toxic

Toxic explores one of the main issues dominating the lives of young people today – toxic masculinity. This is a hard hitting piece of theatre, performed by young people, created to spark conversations and inspire change.

Through powerful storytelling and compelling performances, Toxic puts toxic masculinity under the spotlight as well as highlighting other issues facing teenagers including social media influence, body image and peer pressure.

A huge thank you from everyone at Unity College, particularly Year 9 who really enjoyed the performance.
