Congratulations to the year 7 Football team who beat St Peters from Manchester after extra time in a tightly fought contest on Tuesday. Unity were cruising 2-0 at half time with goals from Morgan Shapland and Jack Brunt. Mr Boardman stressed the importance of a good start to the second half but two sloppy goals allowed St Peters back into the game. The away side nearly stole the victory as a free kick in the last couple of minutes grazed the cross bar. As the game went into extra time Unity clinched the victory with two minutes remaining, Morgan Shapland bagging his second of the game. Well done boys the road to Wembley continues.
