The college is taking advice from the government, Public Health England and Lancashire County Council and we are reviewing our situation daily.

At the time of writing national and local guidance is that schools remain open.

I will only shut the college if directed to do so by the government / Lancashire County Council.

If, however, we have significant staff illness / absence I may have to have a partial closure or complete closure and this will be decided on a day to day basis. I will make a decision regarding any partial / full closure by 7.30am each day. Please ensure that you check the college website www.unity-college.com for any changes to the opening of the college after 7.30am. I will endeavour to keep the college fully open each day.

Please follow the government guidelines if your child shows symptoms of COVID-19. As a parent / carer if you feel your child should be self-isolating (following Public Health guidelines) please inform college as a matter of course. We will mark your child’s attendance as necessary and we will not expect your child to return to college for 7 days as specified by Public Health

If we have concerns regarding your child’s symptoms we will send your child home.
